BRUSH UP BRIGADE

On May 1, 2021 Wichita Police Officers from the Broadway Corridor Team, Homeless Outreach Team, and South Community Policing teamed up with over 100 volunteers to "Brush Up Broadway". Several dumpsters of trash were removed from alleys and a few buildings had murals painted on them. A special thanks to all the volunteers and businesses that made the day possible. Wichita Creatives is proud to partner with the Wichita Police Department and to help bring art into this project. We are working with WPD to connect businesses in these neighborhoods with spaces for public art murals or other creations with artists and creators who can bring those creations to life. We are currently taking donations to help cover the costs of materials and provide a small stipend to the artists for time and talents on these projects.
